Canon (UK) Limited Autumn Cashback & Rugby World Cup 2019™ Free Prize Draw 2019 promotion Terms & Conditions

1. PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS, PARTICIPATING RETAILERS, PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND PARTICIPANTS

1.1. This promotion is only available on purchases made of any of the products listed below (the “Promotional Products”) within the United Kingdom (EXCLUDING Northern Ireland) from one of our participating retailers (“Participating Retailers”) between Monday 2nd September 2019 and Thursday 17th October 2019 inclusive (the “Promotional Period”). All other products and retailers are excluded. Products purchased on the Canon e-store (store.canon.co.uk) have cashback automatically applied to the price and are not eligible for additional cashback via the redemption process. Some Promotional Products may be sold as a camera body only or part of a lens kit or bundle but only ONE claim can be made per kit or bundle. If a kit includes two Promotional Products, the Participant will need to pick one product against which to make a claim. Purchases must be genuine purchases for cash or its equivalent.
1.2. All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in the European Economic Area or Switzerland (“EEA”) (“Participant”).
1.3. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.4. Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion. 2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

2.1. To enter the cashback and if the Participant chooses, the free prize draw promotion, the Participant must purchase a Promotional Product from a Participating Retailer during the Promotional Period AND submit a valid cashback claim and free prize draw entry online between 00:01 on Monday 2nd September 2019 and 23:59 on Saturday 30th November 2019.
2.2. Cashback claims must be submitted by fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid EEA product serial number) a claim form online, at www.canon.co.uk/autumncashback. Participants will need to scan, upload and attach to the online claim form a copy of their receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases. Participants will then receive an email confirming that their claim has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of processing your claim, or do not have access to a computer, please contact our Claim Hotline on 0800 044 3251.
2.3. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.
2.4. Canon will not process any claims received or enter Participants in the free prize draw after the closing date for receipt of claims and entries of 23.59 on Saturday 30th November 2019. Canon will not process claims which are in its opinion incomplete or illegible. Canon will not be responsible for claims or entries delayed or not successfully received.
2.5. Only one claim per Promotional Product purchased may be made.
2.6. Only one entry per person is permitted to the free prize draw.
2.7. Claims by businesses or individuals who make bulk purchases (being more than 10 Promotional Products during the Promotional Period) will not be eligible to enter this Promotion.

3. CASHBACK

3.1.Participants will receive Cashback in the amounts shown for purchases of Promotional Products.
3.2.Upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will arrange for a direct BACS transfer payment to the Participant’s bank account. No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no cash or cheque will be provided.
3.3. Canon will endeavor to transfer via BACS within 4-6 weeks of receipt of a complete and valid claim.
3.4. Only one BACS payment will be issued per valid claim.
3.5. If you are UK VAT registered and you receive a cashback, it may reduce the taxable value of your purchase and so you may need to reduce your input tax accordingly.

4. PRIZE DRAW

4.1. The Prize will be awarded AFTER the end of the Rugby World Cup final 2019 and DOES NOT include any event tickets.
4.2. To qualify for the free prize draw entrants must purchase a Promotional Product between 2nd September 2019 and 17th October 2019 from a Participating Retailer within the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) and submit a cashback claim and free prize draw entry by 23.59 on 30th November 2019.
4.3. To be entered into the free prize draw entrants must opt into the free prize draw by ticking the appropriate box when submitting their claim for cashback for the Promotional Product purchased.
4.4. Only one entry per person is permitted.
4.5. The free prize draw will be held by agency Interpay Sales Promotions on Wednesday 4th December 2019.
4.6. Using a random number generator, one winner will be selected from all eligible entries received during the period 00:01 on Monday 2nd September to 23:59 on Saturday 30th November 2019.
4.7. The winner will be notified by e-mail by Friday 6th December 2019.
4.8. The winner will receive a trip for two people to the 2019 Rugby World Cup winner’s home country (“the Prize”), which will be supplied by Black Tomato Agency (4-14 Tabernacle Street, London, EC2A 4LU) and is subject to Black Tomato Agency’s winner terms and conditions (click here) or visit https://custom.cvent.com/2E403DF4F50D432DACC546417A63C97A/files/026c604aa6804fd28a85411926ad1313.pdf. The Prize includes:

• A 7-night break for two people in a centrally located 4-star hotel, including bed and breakfast, to the country of the eventual Rugby World Cup 2019 winners.
• Return standard class flights and transfer from the arrival airport to the hotel.
• A photography experience tutorial from a professional sports photographer.
• £500 spending money.

4.9. The winner and chosen guest will be responsible for travel to and from the departure airport and all other expenses (including travel insurance) not listed in clause 4.8 above.
4.10. Spending money will be sent to the winner via a BACS transfer or a pre-loaded cashcard by the agency Black Tomato.
4.11. Travel is available for one year after the winner has been notified (subject to availability) but excludes Christmas and New Year (19th December 2019 – 7th January 2020), Valentine’s Day, and all public and National Holiday periods in the UK and the destination market and once booked cannot be amended.
4.12. All bookings must be redeemed within 12 months of notification via the Black Tomato Agency.
4.13. Guests below the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and provide written parental consent to travel unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
4.14. Entries received after the close date will not be eligible to be entered into this Free Prize Draw. Canon reserves the right to disqualify incomplete or illegible data capture cards.
4.15. The Prize is non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the prize on offer. In the event that the prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
4.16. Canon must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Canon will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails cashback@claim-lookup.com or writes to Rugby World Cup Prize Draw Canon (UK) Ltd, Woodhatch, Reigate, Surrey RH10 8BF (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date for entries. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact cashback@claim-lookup.com. In such circumstances, Canon must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
4.17. If Canon receives any rejected or unclaimed prize from the winner within 10 days of attempting to make contact by email, the original announced winner will forfeit their prize.
4.18. The Prize may be awarded to other entrants at the absolute and sole discretion of Canon.
4.19. Black Tomato Agency and/or its licensers are suppliers of this Prize Draw and terms and conditions of the carriers apply (available on request), and all prize elements can only be booked via them.
4.20. The Prize is as stated when published.
4.21. The Prize is provided to the winners of the Free Prize Draw in good faith by the Canon. If a winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, then Canon must be notified as soon as possible.

5. THE PROMOTER

5.1. The promoter is Canon (UK) Ltd. of Woodhatch, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 8BF.

6. DISCLAIMERS

6.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.
6.2. Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change this promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever.
6.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. DATA 7.1. Any personal data submitted to us will be processed by Canon (UK) Limited, its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this Promotion and, if applicable, for marketing purposes – in cases when Participants have opted-in to receive marketing communication from Canon. 7.2 If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact them in future regarding similar promotions, they should NOT check the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form.

8. LAW AND JURISDICTION
These terms and conditions and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
