On Wednesday 8th November 2023 we hosted our Parliamentary Reception. Since its inception over 10 years ago, the purpose of this annual event has been to stimulate conversation and best practice across public and private sectors.

A decade of conversations and insights
We welcomed guests including Parliamentarians, senior representatives from government departments and agencies, and leading figures from the private and public sectors. Alongside this, we had a fantastic speaker, Debra Searle, who added fascinating insights into the afternoon’s discussions, speaking on her own personal experience and how resilience was key in her inspiring story.

Debra Searle
Debra is a professional adventurer and serial entrepreneur. Her expeditions have taken her across the Atlantic, around Antarctica, up to the Arctic Circle and everywhere in between. She has also launched five companies, is a published author, has presented over 40 programmes for the BBC and is a trusted corporate speaker. In 2022 Debra was ranked no.3 in the World’s Top 30 Motivational Speakers, after Simon Sinek at no.1 and Tony Robbins at no.2, making her the highest ranking female motivational speaker in the world.

Sir Christopher John Bryant
Sir Christopher John Bryant is the Labour MP for Rhondda, a seat he has held since 2001. A former Anglican priest, he became Shadow Minister for Creative Industries and Digital following a reshuffle in September 2023. He previously served in government as Deputy Leader of the House of Commons from 2008 to 2009 and Under-Secretary of State for Europe and Asia from 2009 to 2010. Bryant was knighted in the 2023 New Year Honours for political and public service.
