Canon CU Range

At end of life, devices from our imageRUNNER ADVANCE range are returned to vendors, who check if they’re suitable for refurbishment to extend their lifespan.

Devices entering the refurbishment process are sent to a local market facility approved by the experts from our European testing and quality centre in Giessen, Germany. These facilities follow strict guidelines and processes to qualify for Canon Giessen certification.

It’s an approach that opens the door to high-quality printing for budget-conscious businesses, as the device carries the Canon stamp of approval and guarantee of quality, whilst at the same time costs less than an equivalent new product.

Our refurbishing programme happens at the local level. Our regional offices sort devices at end of life, and those suited to refurbishment will be taken to local facilities to be cleaned, repaired, and tested. Only devices that have passed the rigorous testing and quality criteria can be sold under Canon’s Certified Used (CU) label.
