Our guest speaker David Meade – one of the world’s leading organisational thought leaders – helped us explore the real science of leading in uncertain times. Sharing the latest research on mindset, motivation and influence - attendees were equipped with a toolkit to help navigate the challenges being faced by organisations across the world.
How does one of Britain’s most iconic teams consistently perform at an exceptional level, and what can businesses learn from that? Former Red Arrows’ pilot, Andy Wyatt, shared specific examples from his time with the Red Arrows to show that the critical success factors in one of Britain’s most iconic teams are transferable to every organisation.
England Rugby Head Coach, Eddie Jones, is meticulous in every facet of the game. The mastermind behind England’s world record equalling run of 18 winning games shared what he believes are key characteristics required for a winning culture, the necessary values needed for success, and how you develop overall team strength.
Together with David Meade, we explored how we can motivate each other to deal with the macro-challenges and obstacles that we face every day, and how the collective impact of everyone’s actions can drive performance of the organisation now and in the future.
Tasked with ushering the England Rugby squad through the transition from the amateur era to the professional age, Sir Clive Woodward persevered and developed a team that went on to win a 2003 Grand Slam and Rugby World Cup. Sir Clive shared his experience of coaching the England Rugby Team, as well as his insight on key characteristics that build the “DNA of a Champion”.
As the rate and dependence on digital working grows, so do the threats against our home and business lives. Quentyn Taylor and Thomas Power explored the evolution of cybersecurity and its future challenges in a world of disruptive technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain.
During our sustainability event in Edinburgh we discussed the role that businesses have to play in sustainability, as inventors, pioneers and adopters of sustainable technology and practices. Some may see sustainability as restrictive, but there are huge opportunities for companies who take the initiative in this field.
